This special offer is available only at Arizona Safeway locations. Customers interested in purchasing the $15 Safeway International tickets, with the free FBR Open pass attached, must visit the store’s customer service department.

Safeway will serve as the official ticket outlet for the 2004 Safeway International, with tournament play scheduled for Monday, Mar. 15 through Sunday, Mar. 21. Beginning Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, customers will be provided a complimentary Safeway International general admission pass for every $15 Safeway International ticket purchased at any Arizona store location.

For the first time in the LPGA tournament’s 24-year history, the 2004 Safeway International will be played on the Prospector Course at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club. This year’s field features Se Ri Pak, returning to defend her 2003 title. Other acclaimed golfers, including tour professional Annika Sorenstam and 14-year-old amateur Michelle Wie, will compete for a $1.2 million purse, the highest award ever for this tour stop.

Tournament proceeds will be directed to the Safeway Foundation, which has already identified Banner Health Foundation, part of the state’s largest nonprofit health care system, as its primary beneficiary. Additional tournament proceeds will be invested in Arizona-based charitable organizations focused on fighting hunger, health and human services, and education.
