Created in 2001, the Safeway Foundation’s priority is giving back to the community. Foundation funds are being used to support hunger relief, education, special needs, local neighborhoods and health and human services. Safeway has a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities we serve. Each year Safeway gives over $82 million back to the local communities we serve.

The Banner Health Foundation is one of the oldest, largest and best-known nonprofit charitable organizations in the state of Arizona, serving as the leading philanthropic resource for the Banner Health’s Arizona operations. Established in 1978, Banner Health Foundation has raised over $145 million for Banner Health medical facilities. To date the Safeway International has raised over $10 million for Banner Health Cancer Programs.
