King announces 2007 U.S. Solheim Cup Team
Castrale, Diaz named as captain's picks
Three-time Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tournament winner Paula Creamer is the top points earner for the 2007 U.S. Solheim Cup Team and leads the 12-player squad announced by U.S. Team Captain Betsy King on Sunday. Castrale and Diaz complete the 12-person team as King's two captain's picks. The Solheim Cup, Sept. 14-16 at Halmstad Golf Club in Halmstad, Sweden, features the 12 best U.S.-born players from the LPGA and the 12 best European-born players from the Ladies European Tour (LET).

Ochoa wins Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi, records third-consecutive victory
Lorena Ochoa used consistent play and a bit of intimidation to win her third-consecutive tournament at the Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi on Sunday. Ochoa, the number one player in the Rolex Rankings, earned a five-stroke victory at 12-under-par 204 over four other players to claim the $255,000 first-place check.

Michelle Wie Accepts Sponsors Exemption for Safeway Classic
17-year old Michelle Wie has accepted a sponsor’s exemption to play in the Safeway Classic, presented by Pepsi at Columbia-Edgewater Country Club, August 24-26. Wie’s appearance in Portland will be her second. She played in the event in 2003, at the age of 13, and tied for 28th.
